Our Favorite Shirt Styles

Picking the right style for your job

How do you describe your favorite shirt? It’s got to be super soft, hold up to lots of wearing and washing, and have that just-right fit. When we are recommending shirts for customers, our go-tos and most popular styles are CVCs.

CVC stands for Chief Value Cotton, a cotton poly blend that is over 50% cotton. It gives you a soft, durable shirt that also has a textured appearance. Two to check out are Bella+Canvas 3001CVC and Next Level 6210. Both will give you lots of color options and some extended sizes.

Looking for something even softer? Tri-Blends, with their added rayon content, are even softer than a CVC. They also are lighter and thinner (and a little more expensive). We’d suggest District 130 (the most economical), Bella+Canvas 3413, or Next Level 6010.

These brands also offer a 100% Cotton option - like the Bella+Canvas 3001 and the Next Level 3600. These shirts will be slightly heavier and may have the tendency to shrink during the first washing.

If you are looking for something that has a more standard fit and is less expensive, check out our favorite 50/50 Cotton/Poly blends like District 108, Jerzees 29MR, or Gildan 8000.
